Iknow I still have some parts of Journey left to write. So...thanks for your patience. I'm really not forgetting about it all....Piano lessons to teach. Homework for my Guild. The Girl Talk bloggers' new book could not have come at a better time for me. Shopping for Time: How to Do It All and NOT Be Overwhelmed is concise enough (95 pages) to be easily consumed yet detailed enough to implement with results. Because let's be honest--if you are swamped and stressed, the last thing you are going to do is pick up some hardcover tome on time management. Riiiight.
Though I miss having time to read, the only two books that have gotten any of my time lately (besides the Bible of course) are Shopping for Time and Bridal Bargains. Despite the intensity of this unique season of engagement, this book was worth the investment. I knew it would be; I first read about their Principle One 5 Am Club back on the blog and though I never joined, the concept stuck in my mind.
Most helpful to me right now was the third principle on planning one's priorities and goals. Right now I'm definitely in adjustment mode--trying to figure out which priorities go where, which ones need to be erased altogether, and how in the world to get enough sleep so I don't cry at the drop of a hat. As soon as I finish this post I'm loaning the book to my mom. Oh, and an outline of the principles is being printed out for my binder.

That book sounds fantastic! I definitely need to get that one!
Dear Natalie - I remember this season all to well! You are getting married just two days before my second anniversary, so I was in your shoes just two years ago. 3 months to plan a wedding, learn to be a wife, say goodbye to everything in the last season - it's an incredible load, physically and emotionally. Though many girls may envy you, this season of new love and excitement and possibilities still requires an incredible amount of grace! That is what I have been praying for you...

The book sounds very good! I'll have to pick it up too. I'm praying for you, Natalie. This can be such an overwhelming time. Trying to figure out what should happen first, what shouldn't happen at all, etc. I remember going through it myself just a few years ago. Rest in the Lord and He will give you the strength you need. :) My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I have to admit that the area of time management is probably one of my weakest. This sounds like a book to add to my must-read list!
*hugs*
Thinking and praying for you, Natalie!
I can imagine this is an emotional/stressful/overwhelming time for you.
I wish I could somehow help you out.
Hang in there and keep looking up!
Blessings,
~Samantha
Thank you so very much for all that you do, Natalie. The time you give writing and moderating here is such a gift to me, for one. You have inspired me so much by just sharing who you are! You challenge me to live life with class and grace and beauty, and to trust God fully. You have shared some not-so-fairy-tale-like periods of your life, and proved that God works through even those times to bring about His truly GOOD plans for us.
God bless you, now and always, with His joy overflowing.
Jeanne
