Some Thoughtful Ideas

(Some of these ideas are from Tami Hershberger, and some of them from Christiana Reed)

  1. Make a nice paper that says you gave your heart to Him, date it, and hang or place it where you will see it often.
  2. Keep a scrapbook full of little things that remind you of Him and jot down special memories you have of Him.
  3. Just talk to Him! When you’re doing your chores, waiting in a long line, driving in the car, etc. He loves to listen to you! Tell Him all your frustrations, problems, joys, sorrows, feelings, emotions, etc.
  4. Write a letter to Him at the close of each day and tell Him everything. He is the best listener you could have! Make (or decorate) a box and put all your prayer requests in it (however small they may be). When He answers them, take the paper out, date it, and put it in your scrapbook.
  5. Make an anniversary cake for Him and you to share on the day you accepted Him into your heart. If you don’t know the date, then pick a day of the year to be your special anniversary with Him.
  6. If you look for ways to bring Him up in your conversation you will find there are so many! Be quick to boast about His character and achievements. He is the one that deserves it!
  7. In a loving way, be quick to defend Him to any person you hear trying to corrupt His image. Don’t we come to the defense of the people we love? How much more so for Jesus, then!
  8. Make sure you dress to His liking, which means modest clothing.
  9. Whether it be a scripture verse or some gift He gave you through another person; treasure it! Make sure you put it where you can easily see it.
  10. Assure Him very often that you love Him and are committed to Him for the rest of your life.
