Better than SI!
Today I got New Attitude in the mail. It was
awesome!! I mean, I havent been that excited about any
magazine or newsletter ever! (Not even my first issue of Sports
Illustrated!) It was excellent! Bravo, hurrah, good job (etc. etc.!)
It was better than I couldve imagined, and such an
encouragement. The only setback is that I read the whole thing
today. I guess Ill just have to re-read and re-read until
the next issue.

Harsh?
I got your premiere issue. I think your mission
is great. I know you really have a heart for God and hope to have
a ministry for His kingdom through the magazine.
I wanted to give you some constructive
criticism. First, the cartoons are great! Second, I found the
rest of the magazine to be boring. I know that seems harsh, but I
want this to be successful - just as you do - so I also have
advice to lighten it up. #1 Fiction stories. #2 The idea of
interviewing kids our age is good, but are there any famous
Christian home -schooled teens that weve heard of? I dont
want to hear interviews about someone like me. #3 Basketball
is good, but what about scores? Who got what shots? #4 I know
your focus is Christian/Home-schooled teens, but would it hurt to
have one or two articles just for Christians? #5 What about a
devotional each issue? #6 COMEDY! Like The worst home -school
day ever, w/happy ending. #7 Cover-more exciting, eye catching.
I know that these may not be great ideas, but I
thought you could look them over & see. I am praying for your
success.
God bless you!

Editors Note: Thanks for your suggestions.
The only problem with #2 is that we want to interview people like
you! Profiles are of real people living real lives-celebrities
arent welcome. And for basketball, see page 15.
Mom Encouraged
Congratulations on the publishing of your new
magazine. It was especially encouraging to me as a mother who has
poured herself into home education. To see and to read about home-schooled
teenagers who are excelling in life gives me an extra incentive
to continue. I hope it will have the same effect on other
teenagers and their parents. I would just encourage you to
continue to know, to do, to dare!

Where were you in 8th Grade?
The magazine came out great! I was so excited
when it came. I couldnt read it fast enough! Ive
loaned it out to two people already - they love it. Great job -
all your hard work and patience paid off. We now have the 1st
ever magazine written by and for home-schooled teenagers. I only
wish it had come out when I first started in 8th grade. It would
have been such an encouragement.

Tug of War
Bravo for New Attitude! Hannah and I were so
excited when the first issue arrived that we had a tug-of-war
over it! She was especially pleased to see the various answers
to her questions.
We are excited about your ministry to home-schooled
teens. You have our prayer support. We are making copies of the
subscription form and distributing them to our area. We are
looking forward to the next edition of New Attitude.
