I grew up in the country - and all over the country! With 7 younger siblings for traveling buddies, my parents for ballast, and plenty of books, dreams, and green, it was a rich, rich childhood. In the decade-plus since I graduated from homeschooling, I've encountered the faithfulness and creativity of God at every turn - and there have been many turns in the road. When I found myself seeking Him for the next step every year, or even every three months at times, He always brought it along, whether that meant showing the love of Jesus to children at a daycare, supporting homeschooling moms, providing companionship for a 97-year-old lady, researching and editing for a busy professor, teaching English as a second language, or studying and exploring in Israel.
I'm learning that writing is one of the ways in which I see God and know that He is at work in my life. I also see Him in His creation, and in the stories and character and faces of others: one of the main reasons I (a shy country mouse) have grown to love traveling and meeting people from all over the world. When I'm not having adventures, I can generally be found reading, dreaming, or washing dishes.
